OMG, Halp!

on: October 15, 2006, 09:09:17 am

I'm holding on to a lead pipe with my hands and about to fall from a great height!
CC me before I fall, lol.

Too many colors for such a small piece. Very detailed work though.

I don't think it's too many colors at all since they all seem to be used pretty well (as in there aren't any really similar shades that are just wasteful).

He's not got a very good grip on the pipe.  He looks like he's just this second lost the grip and is bout to fall anyway.  Dunno if that's intentional but if not you could just add an extra line of his fingers onto the top of the bar.  Right now it just looks like it's pasted over him and that he's not actually interacting with it.

He don't look like he's gonna fall too far.  He'll land on your palette there I reckon.

Cute lil pic.
keep on moving, lil dude...

there arent too many colors used in the piece, and there not wasted at all. but they arent used to there full extent.
the image uses a very clean pallette, one with very seperated color ramps, and many games use there pallettes like this but it never hurts to dirty them up a bit like so:

Thanks guys! :)
@Wolverine: Would you believe I thought about that a few minutes after I switched my comp off? So I was already able to fix it earlier today.
@Ryumaru: In time, my friend, I'll learn to make use of better pallettes. For now... Right click, save as! ;D
Oh, and an updatye, with fixed hands and color changes and a few shading fix's.
