WIP - Brains!

on: October 12, 2006, 01:21:29 pm

Major WIP, face and brain are more complete than the rest, but it's all very rough.
We'll see if I'll crop it or make a background, remains to be seen.
Using the C64 palette, but not adhering to any mode unfortunately, perhaps next time.

Thanks to Ptoing for the palette breakdown, immensly helpful.

Thanks for MSN crits, Ptoing and Helm.

Looks lovely so far. Not sure why there haven't been any other comments. Only thing I've got right now is that his muscles might be a bit too well defined, especially in the chest. Carry on!

It is indeed looking lovely, which (in my case, anyway) is why I didn't post earlier. It's hard for me to pick out anything to crit in the areas that have been more heavily worked, and I think it's still a bit too early for me to judge the other areas.

I agree with Pawige about the muscles as this looks to me like the guy's a young-ish kid. It seems to me, too, that  the right (our left) upper arm should be a bit longer, putting the elbows on roughly the same horizontal plane.

I'm never sure if I make sense, so... a rough edit:

I mean like this, only...better.

Not being the sharpest one around here, I could be off, but I tried standing in the position you have the kid in and my elbows naturally fell at about the same level.

The brains look deliciously slimy. Very nice.

Give the two hemispheres a distinct separation.
