First of all, new to the board, used to hang around on the old pixelation boards though.

Allright, to the CnC. I like the second one, for several reasons. I don't know how "serious" you were when you were making this piece, but if you were to swing that hammer as he is holding it in the first one, you would notice that it would take tremendous strength to get it moving. The laws of physics are a bitch, huh? :)

The second on is nicer, but since the t-shirt is pretty much just one color, I'm having a hard time seeing how he's turning. I'd say define a light source, so that you can apply shadows/highlights appropriately, that will sure work wonders for this one. The other thing might be a result of watching both pictures together, I'm not sure. But it seems that since you have used the same legs for both versions, his body is turned, but his legs are facing forwards, allthough they look a bit "backwards". His groin isn't really defined, so you don't understand understand if you're staring at his crotch, or his ass :) It would be really uncomfortable to swing a big sledgehammer with the same foot forward. Just think about it, you usually swing with the opposite hand/foot, to get the most out of your body. But this of course depends on what he's swinging at, if it's higher or lower etc.
