Looks good but maybe lacks some contrast... proportions look good and that's important for a weapon to look right. Worked on similar size swords long time ago while contributing to Battle for Wesnoth, though I think I am into adding more detail and contrast (personal style possibly...).  I leave you the two swords I made for that contribution, maybe they can inspire you for new sword designs.

I think it looks plenty like a sword and can be used as is. I would say it seems like an older sword, could even pass for "rusty" with the brownish tones. If you want it a little less dull looking (referring to the sharpness of the sword) you could try upping the contrast. If want to get rid of the old rusty feel then try removing the brown towns—try blue or more straight grey.
