Knight Posture and Shading

on: August 13, 2016, 05:49:31 am
I made this knight based of another knight I had made previously. I threw this together in about 30 minutes but I know it needs some pretty heavy revisions.
I'm not too happy with his posture, arms or legs but I'm kinda new to pixel art and I'm not too sure how to fix these "problems"...Also I know the shading isn't the best but I really wanted to throw this together before I go to sleep so I can get a bit more critique on his fundamentals rather than last minute things like shading.
Also he is for a 2D platformer so I'm really trying to design him so later when I animate him I will have a easier job.
Thanks and I appreciate any critique!!!

I just did a quick edit of your knight.

I pulled the shoulders back. The way the were before suggested a bend forward in the spine. I also removed some of the colors because they were too similar to adjacent colors and were basically unnoticeable. Finally I reshaped the helmet a little.
