raise it so it's not off the bottom of the canvas! And for a piece this size it'd be best to just go ahead and do the colors and flat shading before going on to critique, there's not much to say about linework besides how to smooth it up and that's an easy thing to do when working at this scale.

It seems a bit... boring. Maybe instead of doing just a flat egg from a straight top view you could think of something more interesting? Think about it. (My suggestions inside spoiler to not deprive you of the opportunity to be more creative yourself first.)
I suggest adding context to make it more interesting and draw it an an angled view. Perhaps even inside a frying pan or with a hand holding a frying pan beneath it while the egg itself is in mid-air, half-turning like it has just been thrown up for flipping like a pancake. Or put the egg on a plate with knife and fork next to it and salt and pepper. Anything to make it more interesting than "here, we see an egg".

I took your advice on a frying pan and completely redid the art for it and everything, im going to try and add fire to it too possibly to make the concept more interesting, but for right now I have this-

@Mysterymeat I tried to also be more smooth? I think by that you meant not to make it jagged.Which I tried my best.
I'm not sure, you think if I do the coloring it would look less...jagged?

Okay so update thus far...
(Also I hope no one was going to respond to this like, as soon, as I post this and if so then im deeply sorry.))
I tried the block-in method I think its called?
and in my opinion  it helps improve how I exactly I want the pan since its at such a angle  and doing it just from a sketch and lineart made it really difficult for me.

Now the problem with this however is im not too keen on it and im not really sure how to refine this?
Like for the block in method how do you exactly take the needed steps to refine it? What should I do to refine it?
(The pan is supposed to be copper but im having some trouble on that too btw..)

Well the point of pixel art and what differentiates it from other genres of digital art is intentional attention and placement of each pixel.

Blocking is like doing a sketch in any other form of art. You then have to go back and move stuff around, refine their placement until they're exactly where you want them and are saying exactly what you want them to say. So for instance if your pan is round, you need to clean up those jagged edges and make your pan look round. It's a copper pan? Fiddle with your pallet to get the colours looking like copper and break out some of the high contrast transitions that metal usually has. Is it high polished? Does it have a rough texture? A thick or a thin rim? Go find some photos of copper frying pans and see how they look!

Remember your fire is a light source, and how it will interact with your pan.

Push those pixels!  :D

In addition to what Heyy's suggested, I usually do some aliasing work around the edges, and often some subpixeling stuff.
http://2dwillneverdie.com/tutorial/give-your-sprites-depth-with-sub-pixel-animation/ Here's a guide, this website's got a lot of neato reference for pixelation.

Actually have had some time to work on this!
Problem is I am a bit stumped to what exactly I want to incorporate upon this.
I had originally wanted a pan, but now im also leaning to make this a bit more surreal.
I'm quite stumped does anyone have any suggestions?

If you're going for surrealist, try something subtle, like so:
