Here's my try, didn't change a whole lot other than upping the contrast,brightness and saturation more. I also made some buildings differ in value than others even though they are on the same plain to see if that maybe breaks up a bit of the repeat ability of colour that is being shown from building to building.
Something for you to consider here, doing this would also require you to raise the colour count by a bit but to make the colours more interesting to look at what if you had the colour of brick vary from building to building. Some houses could have more of a orange/red look, others more blue etc. Eastward is a game that does that and imo it really breaks up the monotony of their buildings and makes each one interesting.
