The 3 steps of pixel art (for me, anyway).

Step 1: Rough sketch, will probably look ridiculous, but that's okay.
Step 2: Cleanup of the rough sketch, finished line art.
Step 3: Coloring and shading.

I used 5 colors in this picture.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I just noticed that I had saved all 3 images and decided to post this.

I think if it were to be a tutorial it should have more realistic shading/forms for the skull
