I Tried to Make an Aztec Warrior

I'm new to pixel art and tried my hand by attempting an Aztec warrior. He didn't turn out too too well and I'm looking for any and all constructive criticism.

Your shading makes your proportions looks off on the torso. Also you should try to emphasize the jaguar pelts.
