Just a tip, probably obvious, but from experience I say can that: if you work hard to make all your transitions as seamless as possible, this thing will look really good in the end. When all the tiles' borders are obvious it really hurts the overall effect.

What if there was some interesting way to reveal it? Like a reveal event of some kind. Musicians have listening parties when they drop an album. How about a Hexquisite . . . pixel . . . part?y or something
