That's a great interpretation Panda. I love the fresh colors, makes the piece really breathe. My only crit would be her chin. I feel that it should be just a slight bit higher, as in the original. But then again, this is an interpretation :)

why not a tree-shape of invaders? And a background, sunset, all done in this style. You can take the concept a tad further

edit: ignore straight-pixel tree-stump, do it all with invaders of various sizes!

@ Helm: Haha, I guess I could try to expand the concept, but right now I got other things I want to work on (gotta try to use my inspiration juices, now that they are flowing after recovering from a cold), but I'll experiment around some time soon. But thanks for the idea and the comments.

@Toby: Thanks, and yeah I'm aware the shape of the face is different, and so is the expression, slightly. I'll come back to it once I have fresh eyes (towards that picture).

I wanted to make this a stamp but dropped the idea. Now it comes handy again  :)

EDIT - changed the bubbles according to Larwick´s suggestion on pixelation boards.

I'm legitimately embarrassed by the thingy I posted, so I made it go away. I'll work on it (probably) and erpost when it's all better.

Everyone else's entries are looking fantastic, by the way. truly impressive stuff.  :-*

Started mine yesterday, s'taking forever, so I thought posting a wip would pressure me to deliver the goods sooner.

Sure alot of you have seen the piece, Nightmare, Henry Fuseli, one of my all-time favorite dudes.

Right now i'm still toying around with pretty much everything, not in the most efficent way possible, but enjoying myself nonetheless. When this is through I'll definately be taking some artistic liberties with my version that'll seperate it from the original.
