This doesn't look like pixel art to me. It has lots of noise, an unbelievable amount of colors and has different transparency levels.

I love the tutorial's tree. Beautifully crafted and shaded. I feel a few of the single leaves you added on top of the tutorial's tree were unnecessary and created noise, but the rest of the foliage was wonderful as well as its trunk. This current tree's foliage looks way to symmetrical for your realistic approach, however. I again, though, you are a master of creating trunks and this tree's trunk is beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

This is not done basically. It's a really good start, and now you have to color reduce it, hand tweak the palette and start introducing pixel perfect detail. As it stands right now, this not pixel art, but it could be.
