Zombie rat

on: November 29, 2015, 06:49:33 pm
One of the enemies of pug (game project) - zombie rat. Her a little sad when someone does not bite. Idle test animation with test bg color. Request comments and criticism.

I'm not really seeing it as a zombie rat. If you hadn't told it that I wouldn't know.

Other then that:
I think it looks very good!  :D
But these outlines are bugging me somehow.

This is brilliant lovak!
reminds me a lot of the Day of the tentacle art style.
The animation is really cute and there's lot's of nice expressions going on.
The only thing i would have to criticise right now is the timings. It is all very linear and there's no good impact or punch to any off the motions. Adding some dynamics in there could help tremendously.

If i get around to it i'll do an edit later today.

Also i think the outlines are fine. it is obvious that you're going with a simple art style, which is fine, and i think it works really well.

TY wzl! I understand that i have a problem with the timing, but do not fully understand, how should i put accent to spice up the animation? I tried to dismantle the work of Robertson, but still can not apply these rules in my animations... =(( How i can improve my skills?

I got around to fidget with it a little bit.
I tried to get more impact, intent and emotion into it. not sure if this is what you're looking for, was fun nontheless :D
