Here is a character, but I need help with the sword animation and general criticism.

well, it looks great to me! but my commentary might not be that valuable... I'm not a pixel artist myslef. I'm a game dev looking for some people that want to do some pixel art for my game. Thats the only barrier between the game and early access release; the art. for development sake I used some sprites found online. If you are interested, heres my thread:

I think that the animation looks a bit unnatural. My tip would be to add add "build up" frame before the swing animation, as well as adding an additional frame at the end. I also think you should adjust the interpolation of the animation, as a realistic swing feels slower during its start and finish.
