[WIP][C+C] Tree Branch

on: November 17, 2015, 02:27:06 am
I've been working on this tree branch. I think its coming along alright, but I'm unsure about the texturing and lighting, and the branch looks kind of 2d. I also tried adding in the other pixel art to see what that would look like (the sides were just hastily made to hide the edges, they'll be pixelated too in a bit) It seems a little out of place since its much more detailed. I'm pretty happy with the level of detail on the acorn, but I'm not sure how to make the branch match without it losing it's texture.

Sorry about the size of that image but due to the rotated pixels it doesn't work well small

I don't fully understand your question, but for the tree branch. I would give it a little more light on the areas that have light and darkness on the darker areas.

Try something like that.

Gotcha, that helps a lot, that looks way better. I actually restarted the picture because I wasn't happy with it and have been having trouble with shading the new one.
