[WIP] [C+C] Skeleton warchief

Hey there, I'm Silver.Exe. I'm new to this forum but I do have some experience in pixel-art, like 3 years from now, haha.
 Well, I've been some days working on this pic, that is a remake of one I did several months ago (The one you can see below).



Now here's the remake. These last months I started working A LOT more on pixel art. Well, it's a WIP, but here it is:



As you can see, there's still no shading, I'm a bit stuck with this guy.

This pic actually makes me really happy, because when I watch it I can see that I have learned a lot, and at the same time that I still have lots to learn, so I hope to learn a lot and make some buds here.

Great improvement! It's a lot more stylish and interesting now. It's time to start shading I'd say.

If it's just a personal piece you can take that concept a lot further.

Here he is floating Magneto style. (Pretty sure it was the awesome cape that gave me that idea):



Added a lot more contrast to the proportions, made the pose more specific and used less straight angles (still looks wonky to me here, could be the straight-on head angle I kept?)
Not sure if you want to keep the design that simple, but I've added some unifying details to describe the character and make it more interesting.
You can look at it for ideas on how to shade when you're moving on to that step. Just remember that effective shadows are a good 80% of the stuff and to stick to a consistent lightsource (no pillowshading/outline hugging).

Well, here's the 1st version of the shading:



I used pistachio's hand as a base, however I'm going to make my own hand later. I'm really liking it. I don't know what to put under this guy's boot anyway. And I'm definitely going to change the skull's palette, but I uploaded this so you know I'm still working on it.

hows about him standing on a skull xD

you need more contrast and "character"/  hes lookin generic.  go wild :)

I think the new skull colors look way better then before!
I would love to see Friend's idea in this one haha :D
