Sunset Lighting Issue

on: September 12, 2015, 12:26:27 am
Hi guys. I know this piece is still really undeveloped but I could really use some help. I'm trying to make a sunset but the more I think about the lighting scenario the more confused I get. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong with the lighting before I get too far into this? Thanks!

Well there's this interesting thing going on where the sun is not the brightest object in the sky, and yet manages to be the light source of everything. Google red sun and you'll see, that apart from only appearing under specific conditions, it always manages to be the brightest object.

So it was the light source all along... Ugh, seems so obvious in retrospect. I just need to stop trying to make pixel art when I'm this tired, sorry for wasting your time on this.

I don't think it's a waste of time. :) Just a simple mistake. Anyway, I forgot to welcome you to the forum, so welcome.
