Critique Needed - My First Major Pixel Art Project

on: September 09, 2015, 08:27:00 pm
So I've dabbled in pixel art for about a year now making some platformer tilesets for fun and just generally goofing around. I guess I was just in a pixel art kind of mood today so I started on a landscape. Its still a WIP, but I could use some feedback, and to know if its worth continuing. Thanks!

I like it!
I really like the dithering ^^
But the water reflexion(?) looks kinda odd to me.
I would like to see this as a finished piece ^^

:) its seems pretty cool to me, nice use of AA and Dithering, i only think that you can use an more shiny color to illuminate those towers, good luck!

Thanks for the feedback guys! I've been working on it a bit more. I worked on the lighting on the tower a bit like you suggested Julito. As far as the reflection goes, I think I'm going to just redo it once I have the scene its reflecting finished since I think thats where I went wrong to begin with.

Also, do you guys think the color palette is okay? I'm used to working in grayscale.

Since the first to the last there's a huge change. Looks great, but still doesn't satisfy me the mountain. I fell those rocks on the left side are very big ass rocks and that they are not part of the mountain.
