Animation of wasp wings

Hey! I'm been trying to get the wings of this wasp have some nice animation. When i'm satisfied with the movement of the wings i'll have a few other things to add to the animation too ofcourse. But as of now i can't just figure out how i should make the wings look good when the wasp is flying.





I'm not really sure of how i can create a .gif or something out of this, but it's all intended to be used in my game engine (everything displayed at x2 zoom too).

What i'm asking for is some help about how i could/should animate the flapping(?) of the wings. At first i thought that it'd be easy but it looks pretty bad right now.

Simple and quick. You'll need to make sure you save the image and/or upload it to an image hosting site because the myspace link will expire after about 24 hours.

Thanks alot! Just what i needed!

I decided to make the back be more stretched out when the wisp is flying, and might instead use the older version for when the wisp is attacking. However this is how it all looks as of now:



I must have some food now, but i belive it'll look good as soon as i make the wings go futher back in the animation just like in the Youtube-video.

When in motion it's really hard to see fine detail like the wing pattern since it just becomes a blur.
I think it will look more real without it..

Later i'll also look into adding some more movement to the animation instead of only moving the wings.
