Looking good.
I really agree with wolfenoctis's suggestion about pose.  She seems like the angle of her legs would have her very off balance especially with that heavy armor on.

I think it fits her best, being a high-raking warrior and such.

Sorry i couldn't resist

On a more serious note: right now i'm not sure what her legs are doing.
Her upper body suggest her orientation towards the right and front.
If you cover her body waist upwards with your hand and look at the legs it seems like she's leaning against a table that's on the right behind her. All in all it looks like a very unstable pose to assume, especially for a warrior.

i'd suggest to have the feet around shoulder-width apart, and maybe give the waist a slight angle to imply a bit of her feminity (if she's even a kind of girl that would do that in the first place, being a warrior and all)

To be honest, I personally like just about everything better in the first version (especially the more desaturated, purpler/cooler colors) except the chain mail. Just my two cents.

Heheh, better watch my spelling. :P

So, here's where I stand:

Not much has changed. Adjusted the placement of her left leg so that she looks more balanced, and tweaked the color of the armor a bit.

I'm real close to calling this done. Further input is still very much welcome, though.

On a semi-related note...

Just started working on a High Cleric character in the same setting. Still pretty much a draft, but I wanted to get early feedback on him before I start refining any further, lest I have to redo a bunch of anatomy and pose like I had with the General.

Thanks for all the help so far, looking forward to more comments!

P.S. @PsylentKnight: What do you feel was better about the original version? I understand the palette gave a completely different tone to the piece, but I believe that's more about personal preference than anything else. However, I really felt like her anatomy (specially the head shape and the arms' length) and her design (belt and sword belt-wise, mainly) were actually improved with each iteration. I'd really like to hear why you feel it got worse.

its hard to see this on my phone but I like ur style of character and at the pixel level.
I feel like the girl could use some more cohesion in colours like armour trims could be gold to match the collar.
maybe gold on silver with engraved details instead of silver on flat red?
seems like the red is a bit hardcore.

are you using a fixed palette or are any colours ok for C + C?

Alright, threw together some quick palette swaps based on what Decroded said, and a couple extra ones for good measure.

I'm tempted to say I still prefer the colors I already had. What do you guys think?

Also, @hawken, I'm not using any particular palette. I started off with DawnBringer's 32 color palette:

But I tweaked the colors so much I doubt I'd find more than 2 or so of the original ones in my pieces. Also, after resampling the colors a lot, I probably left some stray tones here and there, haven't really checked yet. :P

So, yeah, as far as colors are concerned, anything goes.

Just a few quick thoughts on the pose/anatomy and a suggestion for the chainmail:

as a mailer this is the most accurate depiction of chainmail here
please do try to shrink them giant rings

as far as the palette swaps go i like the red with silver and red with gold
just something about it, cant really explain it
