Hiya,
I've been fiddling around with this Deluxe Paint clone on and off for a year or two now. Recently I built a light web version (using NaCl, so chrome only) along with a semi automatic daily challenge website. The idea is to practices the pushing of pixels on a daily bases using restricted palettes, size and theme.

I quite like copying the brutal simplicity of the early Dpaint (eg 1 level of undo) and although I realise Swanky Paint is still missing features (eg I should really write a flood fill), it contains enough that I can do most things as well as I could 25 years ago

Above is exported as Fat pixels + bloom which although kinda cheating is also closer to how blurry/fuzzy pixels used to be than the square things you see nowadays but here's the 1:1 original as well.
