I keep an semi-organized collection of any text I've drawn that I particularly liked. Yesterday I started thinking about posting some of it on
r/penmanshipporn/ -- pushed around some thumbnails in the image viewer, creating semi-absurd phrases, and then took this note:

(stylus: Fax pen)
Limit of about 1.5mm-tall for legible text with average-width point seems to still be holding.
also more onions

Do the above two images show up grayed-out to anyone else? I've tried viewing them separately (still grey), and downloading them + viewing with sxiv (lines are properly black). I think it might be a browser issue. (I'm using Firefox 47.0.1 on Arch Linux x86_64, FWIW)
EDIT: Fixed (and verified as occurring also on Chrome) with PPD's generous help. Seems to be associated with PNGs that don't have a gamma level specified; Choosing to save the gamma level when exporting the file fixes it (but presumably the actual bug is either in libpng or the browser color management code)

If you insist on being pessimistic about your own abilities, consider also being pessimistic about the accuracy of that pessimistic judgement.
