Many thanks for the moral support @pistachio. :y: Steve Huston's simple method of continuously alternating between gesture & structure presented in his book Figure Drawing For Artists appears to be highly effective.

Struggling with simplifying construction of the nose tip, too dumb to grasp Bridgman et al., today I finally figured out a way that I can easily memorize. Bird to the rescue!
