@Breakfast: seems to be unfinished, or at least different parts have a different level of detailling.

increased the difficulty for today, drawing "real" people

well that one don't worked as it seems, tired, not too much attention to proportions and a facetype I never tried before

abadoning quickly thrown in value and focusing solely on proportions.
Forehead is asymmetrical, aside from that it seems to be ok.

tad more exact today, started also to lay in some values, tried to get Freuds gazing right, unsure about if the dark eye works like that with pencil or if it'd need more love.

Well, here's my inaugural post. I probably won't have time to post daily, but I'll try to post at least weekly.

Just a rough sketch of a map of the game world for my game. Locations and cheesy names are tentative.

seems proportion wise so much more forgiving than a face... pretty off in a lot of spots, however, some new observations.

A speedpaint from today, I think it was about 10 minutes.

ehh...

Falling behind on my anatomy studies, and actually everything else too. It's harder than I thought to put everything but art out of my mind. Maybe I need to change my routines.

Cyangmou, it seems like you have problems dividing different face types into facial planes. What worked for me, trying to figure it out, is studying exaggerated 3D wireframes. The way that 3D artists NEED to conservatively preserve facial planes makes them experts in the matter. The following image was wonderful for me:

If I find some time, I'll dig up some reference sketches I did. Basically, try drawing the faces in the image, paying extra special attention to what is similar in all four and what is different and why. It seems to me like you understand the facial anatomy well, but have problems seeing how it deforms, so your construction is lacking. Your perception is fine, so the resulting image looks fine, but feels slightly off (because it's not volumetrically solid)
