I'm sorry, Pixelopolis, but I'll have to go deviantart on this piece.. It's absolutley brilliant! Wonderful style and great colors!

Hehe, great. Though the SoM3 style tree doesn't fit in contrast wise

hmm yea, the tree looks a bit out of place, its much more detailed then the rest of the mockup, but other then that, i really cant put my finger on something. looks great! :D

Yeah I'm gonna have to go with "that's friggin awesome" too - i agree that the secondary lighting on the tree is out of place, but holy cow, stylish and fun and very pretty, nice job!

EDIT - ok I lied a couple SMALL crits.  The casting power bar is VERY distracting, particularly the high-contrast hash marks.  The detract from the visibility of the other screen elements and from the meter itself.  Also, the display of the fish's weight is confusing, I would prefer:

7lb,12oz over 7LB/12OZ

Not sure if the lower-case text would clash overmuch, but it would definitely be more readable...

jeez I adore the rest of it though!

Blue underside on the tree seems OTT, but otherwise as cute as mustard. However it does break the rule that all cross-sections of dirt must contain at least one dinosaur fossil or old boot. ;)

wow - i've always hated fishing games, but you certainly made this one look exciting.  I wanna play it!!  They only thing i'd change is what has been already mentioned about the tree.  I love your style - it's very much like kenneth, but more retrofied.  All other things that i could mention as C+C doesn't really matter since it's all a stylistic choice on your part.  I really love this, and have always been a fan of your stuff....oh yeah - i was gunna adopt a pet from your site, but never got around to it.  gosh dangit

I'd play it  :D

Looks cool, I love the shading and the colours seem so vibrant and make the piece look very abstract. Nice work man!

very cool, though one thing which hasn't been mentioned yet is that the shadow for the tree is way too large it seems. The shadow for the guy could be slightly smaller as well perhaps.

another thing that i thought i'd mention - your lack of AA intrigues me.  You make it work so well - good stuff to learn from.

I'd pull a Dali on the water and only make the surface blueish, while the "walls" became fully transparent (though darker) so that we could see better what we fishGET.

I love this!
I've never played a fishing game before, so I can't really imagine the playing mechanics...

Good to see some of your work again.. keep it up!

This is lookin awesome. I had the same idea for a fishing kind of game, but it's in side view. I've only made sprites for it.

I really like the looks of it, but rather than a fishing game, for me it looks more like part of those cute life simulators like animal crossing or the like.
Most of the stuff has been point out, but maybe the fishing area could be bigger, since the rocks are occupying about half of the water.
Other than that really nice.
