4 color mountains 20x40 [C&C]

on: April 24, 2012, 05:57:56 pm

Hey again, I've decided to let the game I was working on wait. I clearly didn't know as much as I thought, heh. Anyways, this is just a scene of a river and some mountains. Trying to limit my palette to 4 and learn what I can from practice. This is my first try and I was just wondering if there are any big problems or things someone can notice before I start practicing them :).

Hello,

It's a good idea to start with a smaller amount of colous, but I think you should get rid of those (out)lines in your picture unless you're going for a cartoony style. If you can't render the grass because it's to small, don't. I hope you don't mind I did a little edit. It's not particulary better. It's just mend to show what I mean. I hope it helps

Awesome! That is exactly what I was looking for :). I'll give that a few looks over and compare. I'll make a new little scene and I'll post it just to make sure I got it xD.

I'll edit this not to bump x3.

*EDIT*

Here it is :)

Just want to know if I am still on the right track, then I'll be off to practice like mad :P.
