I like the deer in this, it looks like it has the most depth so far with its shading. The woman could use some of the same treatment, because right now, she seems pretty 2d. Her pose seems kind of akward with her arm bent back to the branch, and her front leg seems a bit off/wonky. You're on the right track though with the deer! If you keep rounding out the forms of things, the scene might breathe more life
Just a thought, but if it's a late day/early evening scneario, you might want to try a more yellow/orange based palette for the lights, and deep purples/navy for the shadows....
