Palette Workshop Challenge

PALETTE WORKSHOP

THE SETUP:
Using the currently selected palette and attached requirements (or past palette and attached requirements) from the first post, create a work of pixel art.  This workshop is designed to help you practice working within color, size, subject and other limitations.

--You may make more than one submission per palette/requirement set.

--Animations are allowed, as long as each frame meets any and all palette/size requirements, and the animation as a whole meets any and all subject requirements.

CURRENT PALETTE:


`Image must be at least 150 x 200, however it can be bigger.
`Image must be a scene of Mayan ruins.
________

PAST PALETTES/REQUIREMENTS:
(1)

``Image must be 80 x 80 pixels
``Image must be a portrait of a mafia boss

(2)

``Image must be 240 x 65 pixels
``Image must be a panorama of a street in a city slum

(3)

``Image must be 100 x 160 pixels
``Image must be a waist-up portrait of a wisecracking pirate robot

(4)

``Image must be 90 x 90 pixels
``Image must be a picture of a shark rising out of the water

(5)

``Image must be 96 x 128 pixels
``Image must depict purgatory.

(6)

``5 Images required, each 60 x 60
``You must pixel 5 computer desktop-style icons: a computer icon, an e-mail icon, a trashcan icon, an internet icon, and a music icon.

cool challenge. would have liked pure black and pure white


Hopefully as the challenge continues new palettes will be switched out for the old ones, so black & white will definitely appear sometime in the future.

Very cool portrait, btw.

Where did you get that pallette? It really lacks a highlight as shown in Helm's piece...

I just whipped it up.  However, I think you're missing the point of this exercise.  ::)

very nice, ryumaru, but the left cheek and the right cheek don't seem to belong to the same person. Put your hand over either half of his face and visualize.

fixed in this update at all?

as you can tell i was going for a very hardened scarred face, possibly with some dissfigurements.
