Some Pixel Art Tutorials ?

HI, I'm new to this forums so sorry if I posted in wrong section.I would like to learn how to do pixel art as I really like the look of it and especially old games like Zelda.Here is some of work I did,please comment and give suggestion so I can improve.And what Software should I use to make pixel art? Currently I use gimp and Graphicsgale.

This is a great one to start with, especially since you haven't actually been making pixel art in the first place. Which is all explained.

Because it isn't! :D
In pixel art you place all the pixel by hand, or at least you have a certain degree of control over all the pixels in the image and don't use tools with anti-aliasing(smoothing).

Use the program that you're the most comfortable with. I use photoshop myself because I know the tools and a lot of the hotkeys and that makes the process much faster and more comfortable.
