Thats quite an artistic piece that you have there.
It truly captures the painting style through pixel art.

I look at it from left to right, and it looks like a somewhat abstract shape, until my eye reaches the (nice looking) lighting effect on the right side. After that, looking at it again makes it look quite 2 dimentional and unfinished. I'd try to further use the texture you applied to convey more volume to it, make it wrap around more.
