Isometric Houses

on: April 17, 2006, 02:34:45 pm
these are a bit old, but ive never offered them up for formal critique.  made for an isometric project that i would one day love to revive, i figued id post them here.

2 styles of house that upgrade Lv1-3, and then over on the right is a strip housing which is better defended and houses more people per pixel, but also can only be built once the town has been upgraded to a city.

thoughts?

Really neat houses, I love this kinda stuff. They seem kinda flakey though, mostly because of the lack of AA and low color count for the texturing. The architecture is really well made too. If you revamp these with your current skill and they would truly rock.

Those look so professional.  It's like a pixeled RTS or something.  I love your work Adarias.

Yeah really lovely. Quite similar to some plans i made for a game but never started. Hope you do get your project revived, it'd be a shame to waste these. Some aa on the black under the beams would neaten them up a little, but otherwise very nice.

My lord these houses rock. I've seen your other Iso esque sprites. Are you going to be begining some sort of tactical project?  ;)

*shrugs* I think they're great. At least twelve times better than what I could do. By the way, I'm curious, did you design the houses yourself, or did you work off of a reference drawing/photo? Also, are those roofs shingled, or thatched?

Quite nice... I really love those house sketches, tons of tiny details in there. You've got some really good design skills.
