luminous goo study

ok so i didnt really study some luminous goo, but I do have this finger puppet monster made out of luminous greeny yellow rubber, and I keep thinking i'd like to try and capture some of its properties.

this is a section of its arm close up:


and this is just a quick random sprite using the effect and pallette:


I think for something larger like the sprite, a few inbetween colours wouldbe helpful.
not sure its something Id use again, but its all practice.

 Nice colours, yup. The eyes have multiple layers of shading, good.

I think the dithering is killing the effect. ANd maybe.. it could reflect more. Looking good anyway.

I don't think dithering has any bad effect on it, but it could possibly benefit from being a little brighter in spots to give a more luminous effect.
