[WIP] - Top down game, double pixel or not ...

Hi all,

Some progress is being made on a game i'm currently working on and just wanted to post up this mock up. After some messing around I think im going for the double pixel look (I need to convince the dev coder!) What do you think?

I definitely dig the style.  The guy in the crown looks a bit small though.  Not sure if that's intentional.

Looking good so far!

I would like to comment on the fifth guy down on your character chart.
The side view looks a bit odd. I'm assuming his head is facing the direction that hes walking. but it almost looks as if the nose piece on the helmet is actually the back of the helmet and the guy is not looking where he is walking, as if distracted.

Not sure if that makes sense, its hard to explain, great work anyway.

Good work, I really like that style. The characters are cool, too. But do you want to torture me by only showing the spritesheet and not the animations? Next time, also post the animations, this is an order!  ;)


Yes, i couldn't resist...

- the 2nd one has severe problems in both directions
- most of the time, you only bounce the head while walking. Instead, I would try to move head and body. (let the feet do the bounce)
- king has different leg movement (walking down)
- my favorite one is the red-feather-knight (only while moving left) and the king.

More of them!!  :D

hee thanks for the feedback, yeah that sprite sheet is a little all over the place! I've sorted the head bob on the King and Red knight ...



I'll post more bits n bobs as i finish them ... and also make sure they are animated :D

That big monster is so awesome looking. It kinda looks like he's stomping right now rather than walking though.
