[WIP] Teddy from Persona 4

Hello everyone! This is my very first post, Teddy from Persona 4. :3
I'm fairly new to pixel art but even newer to this particular style, seeing as this is my first attempt ever. It's also my first attempt at AA, so C&C would be much appreciated!

Neat image.

Your AA is pretty good. You've got the concept down. You'll naturally improve as time goes on and you practice.

Biggest thing here for me, is that this pic of Teddy (never heard of 'em) lacks pixel merit and is therefore better off as a vector; the same thing will be accomplished plus the curves will be perfectly smooth and AA'ed.. Yes, it's a tired argument, and each his own. Still, glad you've taken up pixel art and enjoy it, but I have to question the style choice.

Also, it has 162 colors. With that many colors you could give him smooth gradient shading. Somehow, you lost control of your palette along the way - a primordial pixel fundamental.

Thanks for the welcome and input!
Next time I want to do a piece in this style I'll make vector art instead. :P

Instead of attempting to fix the crazy amount of colors, I think I'll just work on improving my initial version of Teddy:

Not that my opinion even begins to set the bar for what's pixel valid and what isn't, this version is way more pixel relevant.

More on the actual char here, I'm not sold on the foreshortened perspective - namely how the arms are rendered. Why is his right arm behind his head?
I HIGHLY recommend you get in front of a mirror and strike that pose.

Head isn't shaded to appear as round as I would expect.
