Previews?

on: August 14, 2010, 09:09:50 pm
Does anyone know of a decent sprite editor that has a tiled preview, so that one might see how the tiles look next to each other?

Also, would anyone happen to know if there's a way to have a 100% or 200% size preview window in photoshop?

I haven't found an editor which has a tiled preview, but Graphics Gale can zoom the preview to 25% (has aa), 50% (has aa), 100%, 200%, 300%, 400%, and 800%.
Art gives me a joy that nothing else can.

in PS:

-open new doc
-draw a tile
-convert tile to a smart object
-instance that smart object 8 times to create a 3x3 block of your tile
-zoom to desired zoom level
-make a new window for any doc at any time, set it's zoom level accordingly (this serves as an additional "preview" window, DO NOT USE the navigator panel)
-edit any one of the smart objects in another window
-see the changes occur in original doc, to all 9 tiles, everytime you hit CTRL+S while editing any one of the smart objects, and subsequent new windows of the original doc, if you set them up.

Quick way to do it, already explained in this topic just now, since someone asked the same question to me:
