7321551 is right. also the nose is in a "fake nose" situation, the eyes are weirdly/overly highlighted.

The blue tentacle needs a bit more black hair
The checkers on the hat need more shading, looks odd.

xXx fuck da hat xXx
seriously have no idea how to even begin cleaning it up
and it's going to continue bugging me because everyone i've showed it to is all "naw it looks fine, just fix up the lines, it doesnt need any more shades" but because i know it's still technically a sketch
and it could get away with more shades to be /in the style/ i wont stop being bugged by this

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Redraw the hat, then. The brim doesn't look like a brim (assuming it's supposed to based on your avatar), the dark-to-midtone transition on the side doesn't make sense (I can't see the surface being at a different angle there), & the top of the hat doesn't move down on (our) left like my mind wants it too (for perspective - to be parallel with his eyeline & meet to the very far-left).

Also - it's too big. Offa my lawn.

nope sorry officer it needs to stay big, i have a note from my doctor explaining the details u_________u

not sureif i should go with one of these or just try another hat shape/design/whathaveyou

because the huge hat has been part of the design for awhile now, and it's really been one of my favorite parts of the design so i don't feel okay about getting rid of it for one portrait  :yell:

Yes, but Miley Cyrus said she couldn't be tamed.  :-*

Well. What was your idea of a big-ass hat in the first place? I'm just curious.
How did you come across the checkered pattern? Why is that the only distinguishing feature it has, other than its size?
I see you as the sorta person who just does things because they seem to look good to you, but please tell me if I'm wrong.

If my eyes weren't tired I'd give you an edit.
