GraphicsGale newbie questions

on: April 30, 2010, 09:53:07 pm
Hi,

Hope these question dont annoy as Im a newbie to GraphicsGale, though did try to find the answers rather than just asking questions straight away.

Using GraphicsGale I created a sprite (submitted in WIP) at 4 bpp (16 colours) I would like to create a piece in 32 colours which is 6 bpp (I think amigas used this) Is it possible to do this (reduce colours to 32 in 8 bpp)?

Am I blind or can you not resize an image in GraphicsGale?

Finally I set transparency at the frame level, selecting a colour and though it works fine in .gif I must have missed a trick when using .png, anyone know what I might have done wrong?

Thanks
Rob  :y:

All frames > Colour Depth > 8bpp, in options to the right change colours to 32.

All frames > Resample or use the select tools.

For transparency make sure the colour selected for frame transparency is the background colour and not your transparent colour, this'll most likely be because you have layer transparency on.

Good luck  :)
