Bad Isometric Grass Tile Work in Progress

on: April 05, 2010, 10:12:06 pm

Here's my attempt at an isometric grass tile. As you can see, it looks like a jumbled mess of green.  :(
Any Critique/suggestions? Please?  :D

to be honest, it's hard to crit this all by itself. It'd be nice if you could show us how it looks tiled.

Also, it's not always a good idea to create a floor tiles like grass without some foreground objects like trees, houses, NPCs, etc. This is because the floor tiles are going to have a low visual priority, which means they'll have lower contrast and lower detail relative to the foreground objects. By only focusing on a floor tile, you're probably going to end up making it too contrasting and detailed and have to edit it later.

All right, here it is tiled!
I wasn't sure whether or not to tile it at first so I made a copy both ways.
