hello, i'm quite new to the whole pixel art thing but i am really interested in learning more about it,
i made this dragon and used dithering for a scale-ish look but now, i think it's getting messy, furthermore i would like c&c on everything
my attempt:

Seems like you're using two lightsources:
above and from the side.
On the back it's from above, on the front it's on the side.
Things look much better when shaded continiously.
