Basketcase: that looks really cool. I'm a bit scared to put that much money into it though. If the portraits don't sell, I just paid $250 to print my art. Not sure if I can afford that. I'll have to think about that. That's the kind of cool stuff I was looking for though, thanks!
Of course, if I find a way to lower the cost by doing the glass print myself somehow, that would be awesome.
EDIT: I think you can use Gel Medium to transfer the image onto glass or maybe metal sheet. Cost goes down massively I bet.

It's just that any art that comes with either batteries or an electric cord is going to be hard to sell. For art that's a bit more arcadey, I do think you're really onto something. Print on glass, with a scanline and bleed filter, put some light behind it. That could work really well.
