[WIP]Anime Practice

Looking for some c&c on these.  I've been trying to draw/pixel anime for a while now.  This is my latest attempt.  They look ok to my eye but my other attempts did too until the next day.   
I usually start with a basic head shape with some layout lines and tweak from there.  These are nowhere near finished, so the pixel level detail is not there. 

Just looking for another set of eyes. Thanks.

Thanks for the eye edit.  It certainly stands out more as it looks larger now.  Maybe some repositioning might be in order.  

EDIT:
I've been working on another one.  Tried to mess with the eyes a bit more.  The pointy corners of piffany's edit made it look too realistic.  I do like the edit though. 
This one has more of a body so I'm sure there will be more comments on anatomy.      Slightly more refined than the others.


I guess I'm looking for common areas of weakness on any of these.  I tend to make the same mistakes over an over and can't see them.
