They replaced his hand with a lobster claw, easier to pick through meat with a claw for one hand.

I'll say it once, and I'll say it again: VOLUMES COME FIRST. I've noticed your pieces have a messy style to it. Not sure if it's on purpose, or by habit. If by habit, the only reason why I can think it keeps happening, is because you're so quick and anxious to start on definition, than you are to start on the simple volumes and blocking.  Detailing and definition is fun, but are worthless without the building blocks that Volumes and shapes help to build. Here's a simple edit meant for volumes, before you head on to detailing, to help clean up parts that I tried to understand:

P.s. I like my butchers crazy and hairy as well...
my back hurts...

Yeah I was going for some really weird shading style by shading it all squiggly with the pencil.  :sry:
I thought it gave it a weird style, but I can clearly see that it sucks.
His eyes and mouth are being pulled back by alligator clips.
So I've been trying to figure out a good way to seem like his skin is streching backwards.

I'm pretty sure I still have the lines kicking around. so it shouldn't be too hard for me to try and re-shade it.  :yell:
As for the colors... I did this on someone elses computer.
Wow I didn't think his monitor was that vucked.

I made an sloppy edit, just the face and the chest. Ignore the claw please. Some things:

-The purple doesn't work on the face, it's jarring in conjunction with the red.
-Not covering a full range with your colors, the skin tone's darkest color isn't nearly dark enough, which is why you used the purple I guess.
-I didn't see a need for both the bright skintone and the white to exist. You're not getting enough "punch" out of your highlights I think, you're using the highlights too freely without regard to the form really.
-Show the stretching with wrinkles. I tried to do this, also I put in haphazard eyelids which could be used to show the stretching also.
-The (our) right side of the mouth didn't really work for me, so I changed.
-Nice character. ^-^ He's fun to work with.

Also BOB that is a really great edit. Love the mouth especially.

Found the lines for this guy.
I'll take what you guys have said and try establishing proper volumes.
