[WIP] Micro Sprites (4)

on: May 20, 2008, 05:42:18 pm
I'd like to get the communities opinion on these sprites. Their intended use is for a game created in an R.P.G. Maker program. They are tiny and I was not aiming to be anatomically correct. Below is the template I created to guide me with the creation process.

From left to right: Male, Female A, Female B

Out of the four sprites, I dislike the "warrior" the most.

A URL link can be found on the name of each sprite connecting you with the reference used for the creation. The origin of the character is also listed.

Warrior
Tier Six Raid - Warrior - Gnome - Male
World of Warcraft

Iron Man 08'
Iron Man, The Movie 2008

Sakura
Naruto

Hinata
Naruto

These sprites are a model of what my template is capable of creating. Critique on the sprites will help my pixel skills since I am still new to pixel art. However, the essence of this thread is for the template. The goal is to create a four directional - four framed character template. The standard template used in RPG Maker programs.

Iron Man Walks Foward

Instead of making my naked template walk I've decided to animate my personal favorite of the four pixels, Iron Man.

At this time he's only walking forward. When this direction is in the clear, Iron Man will be stripped of his armor and the template should slowly take shape.

Thanks for the input. I realize these pixels should be easy to tame, but I'm still learning xD

nice reviving of 'mystic quest' style ;)

i suggest that you break out the silouhette of the legs for the walking animation (as if the guy was putting one leg ahead of the other, more than keeping them side by side), it will read better, imho.
