I'm stuck wrt the daker side of the dragon.
I've tried doing the same effect on the side that I applied on top, but it doesn't look right.
Any suggestions?
EDIT:

Bumping with another piece with the same thing in mind; blockiness, a 3D effect thing.
I know, I know, it's lazy and crude. Borrowed some inspiration from

. Been wanting to do a similar avatar, but the techniques escape me completely.

Who said you had to use a pattern?
Anyway, the lightsource on the dragons is confusing... I see two.
The pig thing isn't too bad though, I like the simplicity.
