[WIP] Nice Dragon

on: February 20, 2007, 09:26:52 pm
This is my first piece larger than an RPG game sprite, so I'm having some trouble with colors and shading. I don't know what to do around his chest, but I feel something is missing. Also, I wanted to give the notion that his head is slightly tilted to his left, but I'm not sure I got it right. Any C&C is greatly appreciated, and if someone wants to do an edit on the coloring, go ahead, as it will help me a lot to see what I could have done better.  :)

you need to

-up the contrast
-define arm muscles, and your lines in general.  right now he is a blob.
-ditch the dither, add in a few more shades.
-maybe fix his facial expression, eyes, and face in general.

ill make an edit for you later if i can be bothered to get off my lazy ass.
untz untz untz?

I already icnreased the contrast a bit, but when I tried to define his muscles I remembered how much I suck at drawing correct muscles in their right position. But he doesn't need too much definition, cos he is supposed to be fat. I'll try to replace some dithering for other colors later. And I'm also not so sure of what could be done with his facial expression. He's not supposed to look angry.
Well, I'll try a little harder and post it again later. If someone still has something to say, please do it. Thanks!
