Some nice work, Shane. If I were you, I'd move selected works to a separate site though. Pixeljoin is a bit of a pain to navigate, plus there are many distractions  ;D

Simplifying the ground and texturing it are two completely opposite things.

Lovecraft's elder gods look huge, I'm not sure your scale matches that (maybe it does, haven't seen a human figure).

A recent post on ArtOrder has an excellent collection of Lovecraftian monsters, I'm partial to the Shoggoth :)

Similar to Elk's comment... Pixel art is all about detail, you'll know you've struck the right balance when removing/adding a pixel spoils it. You're far from that point yet  :y:
