I think you'll need a government employee to pixel that last piece. That's the only way anything ever gets into area 51.

We do have a Government Agent as of lately, we do.

General Discussion / Re: The gathering of the Fad Avatars

It is hard to believe how FAD my AVATAR is 0:

Sixteen colours of dottyness. It looks a bit dirty, if someone sees something I sould change for the better, please tell me :]

Animation coming if I ever come up with something amusing.

EDIT: I just realized that I still have stuff to do but, alas, it is in the middle of the night and I'll just change the picture if I update it. Critz R ztilL WELCUM as I'd deliberately put it. :D

EDIT2: Updatzerd :]

Aw heck, you just make me curious :>

I can't really crit your whole website (or actually, I could, but I am lazy, so here goes;) so why don't you post just one piece of art for us to gice crits on and edits to? You'll come to see that it'll be really interesting.

Oh, and Welcome :D!

For me, it is rather the thick black edges that draws my interest to the bottom of the screen while it should be focused at what happens on the top, and that's all for me.

But yeah. I'd suggest that you lessen the contrast a wee bit since high contrasts is something that catches your eye. Hence, the black text is nice imo, while the edges, which are always there, kind of takes over the whole bottom even though they're not really a detail of interest.

But ugly? Hell no. I especially like the little "H" gem. That's all the bling you need to get me going :>

Just a quick thing, his body is leaning to the right (from my point of view) in a way that it looks like he's about to fall over.

Otherwise, I'd say I'm crazy impressed with you and your style. You've got talent, dammit. Lotsalotsa. :D

Pixel Art / Re: pixel comic: something dark
« on: October 04, 2006, 07:28:43 pm »

Actually, I'm a bit of a fan of the gray, let me explain.

The gray for me, represents the sense of colour-dullness you might expect moving from a artificially lit area to nature. I actually felt in my stomach that when my eye wandered from the gray sky to the purple, i got a fresh-breeze kind of sensation. That way I really liked it.

If my english is rusty and I have weird ways of explaining things, sorry. It'll come back eventually, I hope. Long time since I wrote in english last time 0:

Anyways, I loved it from the start. Great job.

Err, well, I know it's a choice of style, but your guy looks very 2-D in a skewed kind of way. For example, his upper body is incredibly thin, and in a bit of an unbalanced way, it is as if you didn't want his left arm to cover/obscure his body and made it very thin as a result, and so on. His butt(sorry) is also very thin, and for it to connect with his legs would have to make them very thin and so on, etc..

So even if your idea was to make him thin, I don't really buy it. D:

Fatten him up, think of how he and his body parts would look from different directions, think in 3D, you know? You'll have to trick the brain of the viewer that you guy actually would be able to move and almost exist for real (a very obscure real is okay too)..

You don't trick my brain yet, though D: That's all. Sorry if I can't give better C+C, and please don't get mad at me :]

Pixel Art / Re: Fighter pose
« on: October 04, 2006, 07:00:06 pm »

Minor edit to the feet; The pose might be a bit .. non-anatomical now, but it's dynamic :D I felt I had the feeling that his feet should be a bit more leaning on the ground and maybe that he was standing almost on his toes, a battle:y thing :]

The knee also bugged me, i felt it didn't have a lot of shape, so to say. So a little edit there too :]

Hope it helps somehow. Good luck dammit 0:! And nice work so far.
