Pixel Art / Re: "Tales Of" Style Character
« on: June 26, 2010, 12:46:59 am »
Thanks a lot you guys!

@Kidfrommars I really appreciate the quick reply, the colour bit was a good observation.

@Kcilc I studied your edit for like, 20 minutes. Thank you so much, there are so many things I see now. I think I'll try another character soon. Mine looks so muddy and undefined and awkward next to yours, but I don't need to tell you that. :P

As for looking at naked people, I'm sure that could be arranged. *suggestive eyebrow raising*

PS: If anyone's interested, I was trying to go for this style.

Edit: How would I be able to incorporate your many meaningful changes into the style I was attempting?

Pixel Art / CSW Style Character

Ugghh I can not even begin to approach doing hands. This is my mostly complete character in Card Saga Wars/Tales Of style.

C&C greatly appreciated in both spriting technique and character design. I think he might need a fourth colour I dunno. Maybe a tie?

Thank you!

Mere mustaches...? BEARDS man, where is the beards?! Mustaches are for lazy women and cool babies. Beards are for men.

That aside, this is pretty rad. What is it for? Will it, in addition to looking cool, have a functionality?

Really nice. I think the Absol could use more contrast on the fur, though. You have some really nice shading but I couldn't even see it until I looked really hard.

Hey Jon! Looks great. The only I thing I can think of is it's weird seeing the same guy with both a wide rectangular head and a perfectly oval head.

Oh my that flapping is beautiful.

For criticism? I'm not really qualified but the chest movement is a little out of sync with the flapping. From what I know from my swimming experiences, the greatest amount of force is applied just slightly after halfway through the stroke. I think it could be a frame or two earlier.

Funny story this is actually an edit of someone else's apple.

I am really glad how well this turned out to you and Lizard. I'd really like to incorporate it into something tangible- but alas I am but an average citizen of the least motivated generation. Maybe I'll be mega adventurous and make a person next.

BAM. It's... I don't really know. A headless hulk in Castlevania clothing. I was poking around the site and I felt really inspired to make something completely different from what I normally do.

Thanks for the feedback!

You're right, it did like a persimmon. Is this much better?

I thought the same too, but everything I tried just made it look more misshapen.

Show me how?

Thanks a lot! The CC forums have a built in uploader so I'm kind of inexperienced.
