Pixel Art / Re: [WIP] This Mushroom, it is my home!

Nice start, not sure about finished one. Cap shading doesn't justify it's shape - it shows on the ends it is bowled, but it is looks flat in the middle. Also color ramps has no connection between them which makes it look like it not related ob]ects placed on one canvas. Usually I don't mess with people's colors, take a look at edit, it is pretty sloppy but you maybe find something useful. Kill two colors in overall palette, made a darkest green less saturated to bridge between blue and red, drop some sky  colors on mashroom cap, play with a red rump (may ignore that)=)

Body build a bit confusing...  Check with a more competent source, but I think it is a bit off cat's nature, more like pavian...
Maybe something like that would fit better?

Perhaps, body is small compare to his head, i just point out the overall body shape.

Try to think of it as beat - right-left, up-down, right-left, wax on-wax off  etc.=) 1-4 frames - right leg cycle, 5-8 - left, 1 and 5 - move up, 2 and 6 down - all in pairs.
See if this helps.

Like that guy attitude, he's seriously rocks.=)
Got some fun to play with a bat swinging, it's not that is something wrong with your - just can't resist. I think i post it anyway as it might give you some ideas.

And chain stance - if you go uneven on chains ghosts, like  one frame - 3. another - four, another - none at all etc, you might get better feel of it. Now it a bit like a propeller.=)

A bit confusing if they are falling down or taking off the ground. Maybe make some loose petals on their path to clear that out?

Ptoing had pointed out on arms length difference on old dude and a boy on the left. Are palms silhouettes on a back look paper cut on purpose? Also not clear enough what waterfall coming over - can't tell if it are stones or plants...other than that pretty stylish. Colors are bit washed out for me, but it could be also monitor adjustments as well.=)

Your stones are very clean and well defined and I think you ought to bring everything else to the same level of definition. Right now tree a bit off that level both the trunk and the crown. I'd get darkest shade on the tree a bit lighter and less saturated. As to foliage, if you work from back to the top you may get better control over it. Here is a rough example. Leaves shapes up to you, perhaps.

Foliage might have some volume - a bit messy edit with twisted greens, but just making a point. Somewhat out of style as well.=)

I think you need tweak that dark shade on a grass so it will blend with a stones a little more.

Maybe something more dynamic for a tree? Perhaps, less dynamic than that to keep it in style you maintain - just an idea.=)
