It's not so much that it's wrong, but it's going to make things more difficult for the people next to those tiles to do, since the depth has been screwed with...  :blind:

Souly: I'm in the process of brainstorming, I don't want him to use a sword, since this is already kinda zelda-esque in my mind. That would just be too close a connection. I was thinking something more of like a melee with a dagger kind of fighter. Possibly 2 knives or something cool like that. But I wanted to try and experiment with like combo attacking in game maker, so that like, if you're running you'd roll into the character, and then like, 2 slash types and maybe a kick or punch. I dunno, I think I'm going with dagger as of right now, it seems to fit the style of the character. He looks like someone who'd walk around with a little wood sword.

Souly: Yeah, I realized after posting that I forgot to do that. I've already fixed it on the sprite sheet, but I haven't remade the GIF.

And your character looks fucking awesome, haha, good job on that!

nd: I'll see what I can do about the skeleton. He was a pain to make, seeing as I wanna make all the minor enemies fit into 16x16 squares. That was tough shit for sure.

Hopefully more tomorrow, I was gone all today.

I think the idle animation is good, but the pause he has in his breathing either needs to go, to be more like your avatar, or it needs to be more subtle. It looks kinda weird with the pause in there in my opinion.

As for the jump animation, I think i'd give him more hang time, right now it seems like he could barely jump over anything. but it's still a WIP so maybe you already realize that fact.

In general I'm loving everything in here, you've got so much talent for this stuff. I want to see a game out of this! You've taunted us with so many mockups and loveable character designs. Give us the goods already!!!
